Session: A Collaborative Approach to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
Presenter: Loyola Marymount University, Bowdoin College

Loyola Marymount University and Bowdoin College have formed a business partnership to inexpensively provide an enterprise-class disaster recovery and business continuity solution for our institutions.

Leveraging our existing VMware Infrastructure 3 implementation, we were able to extend our local BC/DR plans across the country. Through our collaborative effort, we not only created a viable DR plan, but one that could easily be replicated by others for a viable, low cost alternative to traditional DR plans.

    • What hurdles and successes did we encounter?
    • What are the key steps to making this happen, and how did our team identify and resolve conflicts during the process?

This session delivers those answers and more, providing attendees with a good understanding of our DR plan and how virtualization plays a key role in moving forward.

  • How did we turn this opportunity into reality?
