Successful Disaster Recovery Testing for Virtualized Disaster RecoveryPresenter:
VMwareEven though a disaster recovery plan is only as reliable as your ability to test it, most organizations have traditionally been unable to adequately test their disaster recovery plans. As a result they are unable to know their ability to meet their Recovery Time Objective (RTO), the maximum acceptable downtime, and the Recovery Point Objective (RPO), the maximum acceptable data loss. However, virtualized disaster recovery makes successful testing a reality. This presentation will discuss how to test virtualized disaster recovery solutions, measure RTO and RPO, and in particular how server virtualization plays an important part in making the measurements as accurate, non-disruptive and educational as possible.
