The assessment phase of a virtualization project is critical to its overall success. While it's possible to implement virtual infrastructure without one, the careful execution of a well planned assessment phase is critical to achieving a truly optimized virtual environment. This session draws on the real life experiences gathered from multiple successfully executed assessments to present practical assessment planning, preparation and execution considerations. It discusses the challenges faced as well as the lessons learned while performing assessments specifically leading to virtualization implementations.
