Session Abstract: | VMware Lifecycle Manager is a new automation product from VMware, Inc. that helps companies incorporate best practices for managing the virtual machine life cycle. Administrators can use Lifecycle Manager to enforce a consistent approval process for virtual machines; resulting in improved visibility and control over the virtualized environment while eliminating manual, repetitive and error-prone tasks. This breakout session will focus on the problems that face today's system administrator or VMware administrator, how LCM solves these challenges, and concludes with a demonstration of the product. |

Speaker 1: | Michael is responsible for the marketing of VMware's application and infrastructure management solutions in addition to VMware's Consolidated Backup framework that runs within the VMware Infrastructure. In this capacity, Mr. Adams handles the execution and strategy for product launches, collateral development, messaging, positioning, internal/external training, and marketing programs with key partners. Prior to VMware, Inc. Michael worked at Symantec and Veritas Software for 7 years on the marketing of the NetBackup family of products, the company's flagship set of enterprise data protection solutions. Prior to joining Veritas Software, Michael was an analyst at Giga Information Group. In this position, he was responsible for coverage of the open systems storage marketplace. Michael has a degree in political science from the University of Michigan. |
