This session will focus on datacenter availability through virtualization, with an emphasis on VMware's current product offerings such as VMware HA. It will provide a technical overview of existing capabilities, summarize best practices for configuring and managing a robust production environment, and preview future enhancements.

Speaker 1:

Marc Sevigny is a senior member of technical staff, and has been working with the High Availability team of the Virtual Infrastructure Management group at VMware for 3 years. Previously, he worked at Isis Distributed Systems on a cluster management product, and at Legato on a High- Availability cluster software product. Marc has a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Speaker 2:

Elisha Ziskind is a senior member of technical staff in the High Availability team of the Virtual Infrastructure Management group. He has been at VMware for four years and worked on a number of components of the VirtualCenter server, including the database persistence layer, host management and connectivity and agent deployment. He has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science from Princeton University.
