Session ID:

LAB04

Session Title:

VMware Infrastructure - Performance Optimization&Troubleshooting (VMware ESX / VMware ESXi)

Session Abstract:

VMware Infrastructure gives architects ample configuration options to ensure maximum system performance. In this lab, you'll learn advanced performance troubleshooting techniques in a pre-installed, fully functional VMware Infrastructure lab environment. Knowledgeable instructors will deliberately "break" the lab environment by applying settings that degrade the performance of both VMware ESX and hosted virtual machines based on real-world performance issues. You'll have the opportunity to compete on a team against other teams of attendees to restore optimal system performance.
Our instructors will explain procedures and techniques that you can use to optimize performance. The knowledge gained from this lab will help you understand complex virtual infrastructure environments with respect to troubleshooting and performance tuning. We recommend you have some understanding of the VMware Infrastructure 3 architecture and familiarity with Linux.
