Session Abstract: | This session will give an overview of the latest standards activities around Virtualization Management. It will cover key standards from the DMTF that have been recently released for Virtual Machine management including OVF the Open Virtualization Format. This session will also look at how new management standards such as WS-Management, the Common Information Model (CIM) and virtualization management profiles are enabling the integrated management of the future. This session will also provide a view of new areas of standardization regarding virtualized storage and Virtualized network management. |

He is currently the President of the DMTF. He is also a Director on the board of The Green Grid. Prior to VMware he was Director of Systems Management Architecture at Dell and he was also Director of Open Technologies at Novell, Inc. He is co-author of the books "Common Information Model" and "The Foundations of Application Management." |
