Virtual Appliances, VServices and VMware Studio : Deep Dive
This session goes through different models of software delivery and deployment : Virtual Appliances and VServices. It does a deep dive into services and tools currently provided by VMware Studio for building and managing production ready Virtual Appliances. It goes through best practices for developing VA friendly applications including recommendations for structuring applications and appliances to make updates and migrations minimally disruptive. Finally, it gives a preview into the future roadmap of the product around delivering highly available, secure and metadata driven VServices that ease deployment and management of complex applications running in a virtual environment.

Komal Mangtani( VMware,Inc. )
Komal Mangtani is the R&D Engineering Manager for Virtual Appliances Development and Management Framework at VMware. While at VMware, she has been deeply involved in defining the overall product vision as well as shipping of VMware Studio 1.0 Product. Prior to VMware, she was Development Manager in Server Technologies group at Oracle and was one of the lead developers for Weblogic Platform Product at BEA Systems.
