Speaker 1:

Ken Hertzler, Director, is responsible for developing the Virtual PC Center solution for NEC Corporation of America, which was just introduced this week. With over 20 years of extensive product management and marketing experience in software technologies, he is well equipped to deliver NEC's leading-edge technologies to the North American market. Most recently, Ken was a Product Manager at Vidient Systems supporting SmartCatch, a key security technology introduced by NEC in 2004.
Prior to NEC, Ken was Vice President of product management for two venture-backed software companies: Gridion, a provider of parallel processing software platforms; and Performant, a provider of software performance diagnostics tools. He also founded a company, PreferSoft Solutions, a pioneer in Web-hosted customer care software. Ken has held marketing and product management positions at Mercury Interactive, Borland, and at Toshiba's computer division in the U.K.
Ken holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, where he also lectured in Computer Science.
