Session Title: | Planning for Optimized and Cost Effective Storage Utilizing Deduplication and Virtualization Technologies |
Session Abstract: | In today's constrained economic and IT climate, adopted solutions must demonstrate immediate, tangible business benefits as well as ongoing ROI. Deduplication and server virtualization provide the enterprise data center with a number of complementary benefits including hardware and footprint reduction, simplified management and improved power and cooling that serve to offer a more efficient and cost-effective environment. This session, led by Daniel Budiansky, enterprise application technologist for Data Domain, will focus on backup, disaster recovery and archive approaches that harness the power of VMware data protection applications via deduplication and WAN-based replication. In addition, relevant customer use cases will be presented that demonstrate these techniques and real-world results. |
