Cerner Millenium deployed in a VMware View environment

Cerner's world class healthcare applications are deployed in the datacenter and on the desktop. Cerner has created a desktop reference architecture for the Millenium client tier which includes VMware's View and Thinapp products. Cerner packages the Millenium client tier as a Thinapp package and this package is deployed in a View environment. This architecture provides customers with a unique solution that reduces desktop deployment OPEX costs, desktop application implementation and upgrade time and reduces costs associated with the presentation layer infrastructure. Cerner has also built technology that enables location awareness for Millenium in a View environment, which enhances View in a clinical environment and improves the productivity of clinicians.
