Session Abstract: | vSphere 4 provides an entire infrastructure layer for IT services, an operating system for the datacenter. One of the most critical aspects of any operating system is the ability to meet fundamental security compliance requirements. This session will start with the foundations of security and compliance, and then describe how the vSphere platform addresses each of these. We will then take a closer look at vShield Zones, a new component of vSphere that provides virtual network segmentation, monitoring, and firewalling right in the platform itself. We?ll conclude by showing a demonstration of vShield Zones as applied to real-world situations. |
