Performance Troubleshooting in Virtual Infrastructure

Session Abstract:

Customers who deploy Virtual Infrastructure often know how to spot performance problems with their physical hosts, but such basic troubleshooting can be much more complex in Virtual Environments. For example, how do we know when a VM is underperforming because it is sharing a physical server with other CPU-intensive Virtual Machines, as opposed to bottlenecking on IO?
In this talk I will discuss methods for troubleshooting performance problems in Virtual Infrastructure. I will first describe the various tools available for collecting performance information. Next, I will describe how to use those tools to solve basic performance problems.
