Session Title:

Next Generation VM Storage Solutions with vStorage API for Array Integration (VAAI)

Session Abstract:

vStorage APIs are a set of new and existing APIs that enable storage ecosystem partners to integrate and optimize their products with VMware Infrastructure. vStorage API for Array Integration (VAAI), in particular, aims to simplify and automate manual handoffs and processes between the virtual environment and the storage infrastructure to deliver simple, coordinated management of virtual infrastructure and storage infrastructure. The program is driving new innovations in storage hardware targeted towards hosting a highly scalable and manageable private cloud in conjunction with the vSphere platform. We will present some early VAAI use cases with storage partner demos and customer feedback; and some future solutions under development.
