vmworld 2010 SF

It is budget time for me and I am trying to decided if I should attend this year. I have been to 4 previous conferences and after all of the issues at last years conference I an not that excited to attend.  Does anyone know if VmWare learned from last year and is going to make big changes for the conference in 2010?

Hi,

hmm - I'm just curious, but could you tell me what you mean with issues and what kind of changes you're looking for?

I have been at the last 3 conferences and will hopefully attend again this year.

Thanks.

Re: vmworld 2010 SF

I guess the value of the conference is relative.  Despite the painful lab experiences last year, I'll be back this year.  And due to budget cuts by my employer, I'll be paying my own way.

I don't go for the labs, but I do try to attend if I find one that's interesting.  I usually choose one or two technologies to focus on during the conference, and I spend as much time as possible in the relevant sessions.  I also spend time in the partner pavillion discussing things with our technology partners.  So painful labs are an inconvenience for me, but the overall conference has more than made up for that.

YMMV, but for me the conference has definitely been worthwhile.
